Campbell on Amber:   We are so proud to have a local product of Amber’s caliber, as she is fundamentally sound and will help us with her bat as well as her glove at first base.  She loves the game and is a model student athlete.”

High School: Amber was a four year letterman for the Tift County High Lady Devils, as her team were Runner-up in Region 1-5A her 9th and 12th grade years.  In 2000, the Lady Devils finished 4th in 4A State.  Amber was named to the First team for Region 1-5A as a junior.  She has received such awards as Best Offensive player and Best Outfielder during her junior year and was named Captain of her team her senior year.  Amber also played basketball her 9th grade and ran track for three years

Personal: Amber was born on August 7,1986.  She is the daughter of Wayne and Carmen Whittle, and she has one older brother named David.  Favorite hobbies are playing softball, tennis, and ultimate Frisbee. She enjoys hanging out with friends and family.  She also attends First Baptist Church of Tifton.  She is majoring in Physical Therapy.

Why ABAC?: I chose to come to ABAC because it is a great school that is close to home.  ABAC has an excellent softball program, one that I have wanted to play for since I moved to Tifton in eighth grade.  Playing softball in college has always been a dream of mine, so being able to play for the Fillies is definitely a dream come true.  If I had the chance, I would not change my mind about coming to ABAC, it the perfect school for me.”
