ABAC Softball Tradition

Since the softball program began in 1988, Abraham Baldwin has built a strong softball tradition and has been a dominating team in Region XVII.  The Fillies have compiled a total record of 552 wins and 253 loses, while capturing eleven Region XVII titles in seventeen years.  From 1988 to 1996, the slowpitch teams won 346 games and lost 117 times.  In eight seasons of fastpitch, the Fillies have won 237 games and lost 174, capturing five Region XVII Fastpitch titles, one District C Championship, and four top 16 finishes in the NJCAA National Tournament.  A total 19 softball All-Americans have been named from ABAC.

In eight years of fastpitch, ABAC has had twenty five players sign four-year softball scholarships. The ABAC fastpitch program is fast becoming a junior college program where the four-year colleges are now looking for good, solid JUCO talent.

Three coaches have guided the Fillies since 1988: Coach Ellen Vickers (1988-1994), Coach Greg Tanner (1995), and Coach Donna Campbell (1996-present).
