Campbell on Amy: "Amy’s Freshman year was hampered by a battle with cancer and a broken index finger on her pitching hand. In all of that, Amy still contributed the success the 2001 team realized. She hit over .300 and was our starting 1b when healthy. Coach Campbell is glad to have a healthy Amy back this season and expects great things from her."

High School: Amy was a four-year letterman. She was given the Hustler award her sophomore year, and her junior and senior year she was awarded the Captain’s award, Lady Eagle award, and Firearm award. Amy also was given the MVP award for tennis her junior and senior year.

Personal: Amy was born July 8, 1981 . . . enjoys traveling, playing ball, and spending quality time with her friends and family. Her parents are Charles and Laura Davenport. . . has one older brother, Reggie. Amy plans on attending a four-year college after ABAC and is planning on majoring in business.
