College: Last year Christie hit over .330 our lead-off spot in the lineup. Christie is a competitor and loves to play the game. Coach Campbell will look for Christie to provide leadership in the Fillie outfield. Campbell on Christie: “Christie is a model student-athlete and will be a great sign for a four year college; she is the complete package.
High school: Christie was a five-year varsity lettermen for the Lady Raiders. She was named to the All-region team three years and also made the All-Area team for three years. Christie was also named All-State her senior year as her team record was 27-2 in the GISA. She also played tennis and basketball.
Personal: Born October 11, 1980 . . . .enjoys playing sports and spending time with her friends. . loves Duke basketball. Parents are Eddie and Betty Anne Ward. . . has one older sister, Julie. Christie is planning to graduate this spring with a Degree of Arts. After ABAC, Christie is planning to continue her education at a four year school to get a degree in pre-law.

6'0" Sophomore 3rd / 1st base Bats R/ Throws R
College: Kristin hit .375 last season and drove in 44 runs. Kristin will supply the Fillies with power at the plate as well as a solid glove at the hot corner. Campbell on Kristin: “Kristin will be at great sign for a year college; she has all the tools it takes to be a champion.
High School: Kristin was a three year lettermen for Dacula High School. Her senior year saw her capture many honors such as being named the Most Offensive player on her Dacula team as her team named Gwinnett County team of the month as well as team of the year 1998. The Dacula team finished 5th in the 8AAA State Tournament. Kristin also played basketball and track and field.
Personal: Kristin was born December 20, 1980. . .. enjoys spending time with friends and family and playing sports. Daughter of Marilyn Hughes. . . has two older brothers, Michael and Kevin....two sisters, Stacey and Lori. Kristin plans on attending a four-year college after ABAC to major in Special Education.

5'7 Sophomore SS/3rd Bats R/Throws R
College: Becky had a tremendous freshman year, hitting .416 and was named MVP at the GJCAA tournament. She led our conference in hitting and RBI’s. We will look to Becky to provide our offensive power and her solid defense again at shortstop this season. Campbell on Becky: “Becky is truly one of the hardest working athletes I have had the pleasure to coach. With her work ethics she will only excel in whatever she wants to accomplish.”
High School: Becky lettered all four years for the Lady Devils. Her team captured the AAAA
State Title in 1996. Becky was the first recipient of the E.B. Hamilton Softball Scholarship to ABAC. Honors include Slugger Award, Higher Ground Coaches Award, and All Region four years. In 1999, her summer ball team captured the USSSA World Series and she was named to the All World team and also was a member of the 1999 North-South All Star Team, where she was named MVP of that game.
Personal: Born February 21, 1981.... enjoys playing other sports, spending time with friends and family. She is majoring in Physical Education and wants to become a coach. Becky is the daughter of Bill Greene and Sue Ellen Brown. She has two sisters Maggie, and Vanessa, and one brother, Will.

5'8 Sophomore Outfield/Infield Bats R/ Throws R
College: Laura started last year in rightfield and was solid with her defense play, as she had 11 assists. She has an excellent throwing arm and is just a fundamentally sound player. Her work ethics on the field and in the classroom are exceptional. Campbell on Laura: Laura is our Ms. Utility, she can do it all. This year she will see time in the infield and possibly some in the outfield. One things for sure, she will be in the lineup somewhere as she is a super valuable player to our 2001 squad.”
Personal: Born July 3, 1981...enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, and playing sports. Parents are Larry and Jerri Mcgirr...has three older brothers and one sister. Laura will graduate in Spring with a Psychology degree and plans on attending a 4-year university.

College: Campbell on Kelly: “Kelly comes to us from the west border of Canada. She is an excellent catcher who knows the game. She has great enthusiasm behind the plate and we look for her to have an excellent season behind the plate. ”
High School: Kelly played for Surrey Storm in Canada, traveling extensively for tournament ball, through Washington and Oregon States.
Personal: Born January 8,1982..enjoys playing all types of sports, hanging out with friends and snowboarding. Parents are Rob and Sandy Upton... younger sister Amanda. Traveled to Spain for 3 weeks in Grade 11. Has played fastpitch for 7 years. Kelly plans to major in Criminology. She is also enjoying her first year at ABAC and is sure the Fillies will go all the way.

College: Campbell on Melissa: Mel comes to us from the Toronto area and another prospect brought in with the help of Tony Ashton. I look for Mel to be our leader behind the plate and help us with her bat. She has an excellent arm and will be fun to watch this season.”
High School: Melissa played hockey, softball and volleyball throughout high school. She was the captain of her hockey team and was named MVP for both hockey and softball. In her senior year she was named Athlete of the Year.
Personal: Born June 30, 1981...enjoys playing different sports. Her parents are John and Anna...has two younger brothers, Chris and Michael. Melissa is planning on attending a four-year college after ABAC and is majoring in physical education.

was a 5 time MVP recipient, while attending Lorne Park Secondary School in
Canada. Kim received many athletic and
academic awards in her five years of schooling including her Silver Key and
Athlete of the year in her senior year.
Personal: Born July 8th, 1981...enjoys a wide variety of sports, coaching, ski instructing, listening to music and loves to hang out with friends. Kim is majoring in physical education while attending ABAC, and plans on attending a 4 year college to major in sports medicine. She also has future aspiration to obtain her law degree. College: Campbell on Amy: Amy is another great recruit we signed from Coach Vicki Jone’s Northside program. Amy is fundamentally sound and has a tremendous bat. Amy will see action at 1B as well as on the mound.”
High School: Amy was a four-year letterman. She was given the Hustler award her sophomore year, and her junior and senior year she was awarded the Captain’s award, Lady Eagle award, and Firearm award. Amy also was given the MVP award for tennis her junior and senior year.
Personal: Amy was born July 8, 1981 . . . enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her friends and family. Her parents are Charles and Laura Davenport. . . has one older brothers, Reggie. Amy plans on attending a four-year college after ABAC and is planning on majoring in business.

College: Campbell on Deanna: “Dee is just a competitor and will see action in the Fillie infield. Dee comes to us from Adel, Ga and has the potential to become a solid infielder. We will count on her with her stick as well as her defense ability at 2B.”
High School: Deanna lettered three years in softball and volleyball at Union County High School in Lake Butler, Fl. Then played two years in travel ball with Lowndes Vikettes after moving to Georgia.
Personal: Born January 20, 1982 . . . Deanna enjoys spending time with family and friends and playing sports. Parents are Sam and Beth Raulerson. . . has a younger sister, Katie, and younger brother, Tyler. Deanna plans on majoring in Business.

College: Campbell on Kathy: “Kat comes to us from Pierce County and out of Coach Maureen Brown’s softball program. She has great speed and a very coachable athlete. Kathy had a very successful Fall season, playing fastpitch for the first time in her career. We look for big things from Kathy this season.”
High School: Kathy lettered all four years in softball and basketball and two years in track and field at Pierce County High School. She was awarded MVP and Captain honors in softball and basketball her senior year.
Personal: Born July 19, 1981...Kathy enjoys spending time with family and friends and playing sports. She is the daughter of Donnie and Carol Watkins... she has one older brother, Ben, and an older sister, Becky. Kathy is majoring in Physical Education and plans on attending a four year college after ABAC.

College: Campbell on Carrie: “Carrie is the first athlete we have signed from the super successful Shaw High School softball program coach by Debbie Ball. One word to describe Carrie on the field is: intense! Carrie loves to compete and will be truly as asset to our program.
High School: Carrie was a three-year varsity softball letterman. Her high school Shaw was named team of the month as well as they placed seventh in the state her senior year. She made all bi city team of the year, and made second team all state her senior year... She also played travel ball for the Columbus Peaches and the South Side Diamonds out of Atlanta.
Personal: Carrie was born February 27,1981... enjoys spending time with friends and family and playing sports. She is the daughter of Dennis and Carol Folmar... she has two sisters Tiffany and Morgan... and one brother Mickey. Carrie is majoring in Education and plans on attending a four year college after ABAC.

5'5" Freshman Pitcher Bats R/Throws R
College: Campbell on Jackie: “Jackie is our second sign from the Columbus area and comes to us from Jordan High School’s softball program coached by Butch Jones. We will look for Jackie to be our key pitcher on the Fillie staff this season. She has the ability to be a dominating pitcher in the GJCAA and will be one of the keys to our season.”
High School: Jackie lettered all four years for the Lady Red Jackets at Jordan High School. She was selected to the All-Bi-City softball team her junior and senior years. In 1998, during her junior year, she helped the Lady Red Jackets finish fourth in the AAA state tournament. Jackie received the Coaches’ Award her junior and senior year. She was voted “Most Athletic” in her senior class. She played ASA for the Columbus Peaches for one year and three years for the Columbus Challengers.
Personal: Born May 8, 1982...enjoys traveling and spending time with friends. Parents are Tom and Toni Moore. She has one brother, Steve. After graduating from ABAC, Jackie plans to attend a four-year university and major in Speech Pathology.

5'3" Freshman First base Bats right/ throws right
Campbell on Becky: “Becky will walk on in January and comes from Colquitt County. Becky will be a role player for the 2001 Fillies. We are glad she is a part of our program.”
She played two years at Colquitt County high school. During her freshman year she was awarded the highest batting average on the team, with a batting average over .500. She also saw action in the outfield.
Personal: Born December 30th 1980. She enjoys riding horses and fishing. Her parents are Darrell and Vicki Kenendy; she also has two sisters Priscilla and Molly. After graduating from ABAC she plans to attend a four year school, majoring in human services.
