#24 John Beugnot *6’6* Freshman *Forward* Lyon, France

John joins the Stallions after a prep career in the United States that was provided through the student-exchange program.  John is from Lyon, France and is the son of former professional basketball player Eric Beugnot.  He and his wife Gwenola Beugnot still reside in France and keep up with Jon via the internet and a weekly phone conversation.  John comes from great basketball genes as his uncle, father and grandfather all played professionally in France.  John was voted first team All-State class D in Michigan averaging 29 points, 17.5 rebounds, 4 blocks and 3 assists per game.  John chose ABAC because it seemed like the right place for him and he wanted a quality junior college experience while preparing him for Division I basketball.

Sheppard on Beugnot:  “John has been a wonderful surprise.  He is a guy who truly is a student of the game.  He plays very hard and will be successful in a variety of ways on the floor this season.  At 6’6” he is a guy who can step out and shoot on the perimeter and also post his man up and finish on the inside.  He is adjusting to the college game quickly and will be a major contributor to our team’s overall success this season.”
