ABAC Golf Camp

2012 Golf Camps

 

 

 

A one-week commuter camp designed to teach basic and advanced fundamentals for the middle school and high school age golfers (Ages 8-17).  Skills will be taught in the mornings and 9 holes will be played in some afternoons. Bring a snack.  Drinks will be furnished. All range balls will be furnished.  Campers must bring their own golf balls for competitive play.

Area Covered Will Include:
Short Game Clinic
Wedge Play
Green Reading
Putting
Chipping
Bunker Play
Driving, Including Swing Plane Analysis
Course Management

Audience:  Ages 8 - 17

Instructors:  ABAC Head Golf Coach, Herb Hendrix - Coach of the Year for the Stallions; Dr. Sonny Hawkins, Volunteer Assistant Coach - PGA Teaching Pro for many years - (brought State Low Medalist from High 70's to State Champion at State Tournament - 72, 72, 68).


Location:  Forest Lakes Golf Course
  "located only a few miles from the ABAC campus off I-75".

 

Registration and Waiver Form

 

All Sessions open on a First Come Basis with Limited Enrollment

 

Session I   June 4-7 for intermediate and advanced in learning the set up and techniques of the full swing and short game. Drills: 9:00 am -12:00 Noon Competition Play 1:00 - 4:00 pm Cost $125 per camper

 

Session II  June 11-14 for intermediate and advanced in learning the set up and techniques of the full swing and short game.  Drills: 9:00 am -12:00 Noon Competition Play 1:00 - 4:00 pm  Cost $125 per camper

 

Session III June 26-29 for intermediate and advanced in learning the set up and techniques of the full swing and short game. Drills:  9:00 am -12:00 Noon Competition Play 1:00 - 4:00 pm  Cost $125 per camper
