Scrimmages:  October 1, 2011 vs Dawsonville Spartans

The Stallions were able to improve on their 4-1-1 record with a double header sweep of the Dawsonville Spartans on Saturday.  In the first game the Stallions dominated the entire game, scoring thirteen runs and pounding out thirteen hits while allowing only one run and committing no errors.  The offense was impressive and was able to score in every inning.  Things got going in the first with a leadoff double and the Stallions capitalized and scored two runs.  Single tallies in the second and third built a four run lead going into the fourth inning.  In the last three innings the Stallions were able to push across three runs in each frame to cap the scoring at thirteen.   The lone run scored by Dawsonville came in the seventh after two leadoff walks and a base hit.  ABAC 13, DS 1

In Game 2 the Stallions continued to hit the baseball well crossing the plate eleven times on twelve hits.  The scoring onslaught started in the first two innings as the offense exploded for five runs.  Shaky defense helped the Spartans get on the board in the third and a monster blast off the light pole pushed the score to 5-2 in the fourth.  ABAC fought back in the bottom half and manufactured a run of their own.  Dawsonville just wouldn’t go away as they again scored in the fifth to pull within three again.  That was as close as they would get as the offense came to life again posting two in the fifth and three runs in the sixth.  The pitching staff was able to pitch around a few defensive miscues and self imposed walk trouble to allow only three runs on four hits over seven innings.  ABAC 11, DS 3
