Dear parents,

Thank you for sending your sons and daughters to ABAC.  We have over 100 years of educational experience behind us, and our goal is to provide the best setting possible for your student’s college career.

At ABAC your student will have many choices to make.  We have a curriculum that includes over 50 programs of study.  As a State College of the University System of Georgia, ABAC offers bachelor’s degrees as well as associate degrees.  Our new Rural Studies degree is the only program of its kind in the country.

I hope your student chooses to live on campus in ABAC Lakeside or ABAC Place.   Both are comfortable, modern residence halls that compare with the top facilities in the state.  On-campus life offers an opportunity to make new friends with roommates or at meals in the spacious Donaldson Dining Hall.  We have over 1,100 students who live on campus.

If your student commutes to ABAC, there are many avenues to forge friendships with a student body that numbers over 3,300 students from 17 states, 11 countries, and 152 Georgia counties.  Clubs, the music program, and the Student Government Association immediately come to mind.

Your student will discover that college is not like high school.  Going to class, preparing for exams, and spending time wisely are keys to success.  We offer free tutoring in almost every subject in the Student Success Center.  Encourage your student to use all the resources that ABAC offers.
