Create Rule for Junk E-mail Messages

  1. Open Outlook [Start, Programs or Desktop Icon]

  2. Tools, [menu]

  3. Organize [pull-down]

  4. Junk E-mail [link]

  5. Select action:
    (a) Automatically color Junk messages -- select color [pull-down]
    (b) Automatically move Junk messages -- select mailbox [pull-down]

  6. Turn on [button]

  7. You can set properties for Adult Content messages also.

  8. Close the organize section with the X in the upper right corner of the Organize area.

Note: You will want to copy the original Junk E-mail Filter and edit the new Junk E-mail Filter to exclude individuals in your address book.
Note: Suspicious mail is categorized using key words.

Screen shot represents a modified Junk E-mail Filter to exclude individuals listed in your address book.

Add an entry to the Junk E-Mail Senders List

  1. Right-click a message from a Junk Sender [shortcut menu]

  2. Junk E-mail [pull-down]

  3. Add to Junk Senders list [side menu]

Remove an entry from the Junk E-Mail Senders List

  1. Open Outlook [Start, Programs or Desktop Icon]

  2. Tools, [menu]

  3. Organize [pull-down]

  4. Junk E-mail [link]

  5. Select the click here link.

  6. Select the Edit Junk Senders link

  7. Add/Edit/Delete names as needed using appropriate buttons.

  8. OK [button]

  9. Close the organize section with the X in the upper right corner of the Organize area.
