ABAC Classifieds and Email Lists Generator (ABAC Announcement Lists)

When you log in to the ABAC Mailshield web site, you’ll have a pull-down menu in the upper-left corner which will give you access to an email lists generator as well as to the email classifieds.

To send a classified, simply select “Email Classifieds” and complete the text box. Be sure to include a subject and then type the text of your message in the large box. You can see in a listing to the left of the message the names of the individuals who will receive your message.

When you are ready to send, select “Send Message.” If you select “ Send Test Message to Current User,” you will send a test message or preview to yourself only.

To post to the classifieds, you must subscribe to the classifieds.

If you wish to be removed from the classifieds, send an e-mail to techsupport@abac.edu or call 3228.

Email Lists Generator (ABAC Announcements to Faculty and Staff)

If you need to send an e-mail regarding official ABAC business, you may use the email lists generator. This option is one of the available options in the same pull-down menu as shown above.

To send a message to everyone, simply select “Select by Position” and choose both Faculty and Staff by holding down the CTRL key for multiple selections. Once you have made your selection, click “Submit.” You will then simply complete the text boxes. Be sure to include a subject and then type your text.

You can see in a listing to the left of the message the names of the individuals who will receive your message. People with two email accounts (those who now have long last name addresses in addition to their short e-mail name) will get 2 copies of the postings.

When you are ready to send, select “Send Message.” If you select “Send Test Message to Current User,” you will send a test message or preview to yourself only.

Note that you have a few additional options of sending mail by department and by title. Enjoy.
