Steam Train

The Georgia Museum of Agriculture Vulcan Iron Works Steam Locomotive is the only steam powered train in regular operation in the State of Georgia. Always popular with both children and adults alike, a ride on the Georgia Museum of Agriculture steam train is a journey into the past.

Scheduled Steam Train Operation Days - 2011 - 2012

The Georgia Museum of Agriculture is currently scheduled to run the steam train on Saturday of each month and on special events. This schedule is subject to change. The Georgia Museum of Agriculture runs the steam train during normal operating hours each Saturday and for Special Events.

The steam train can be booked for occasions such as birthday parties and group tours at the Georgia Museum of Agriculture for a nominal fee. A minimum of 40 people is required to book the steam train for special events and birthday parties.  For special bookings of the steam train, please call (229) 391-5204 or email gboone@abac.edu.
