Fishing at the Lake

FISHING REGULATIONS

Georgia Museum of Agriculture and Historic Village lake is open for fishing during normal hours of operation (Tuesday - Saturday, 9am - 4:30pm) unless closed for maintenance reasons.

1. Normal admission prices are charged for fishing. Those with annual passes to the Georgia Museum of Agriculture and Historic Village are allowed to fish at no charge. Guests of pass holders will be charged one-half the regular ticket price. Annual passes are $25.00 for individuals and $50.00 for families or grandparents.

3. All persons must check in at the Country Store to pay or present their season pass along with appropriate identification.

4. All persons who fish must possess and present a valid Georgia Fishing License to admissions personnel. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Licenses may be purchased at Walmart, Kmart, or any bait and tackle shop.

5. Boats and/or other watercraft are not allowed on the lake.

6. Persons are limited to five bass (12" minimum) and five catfish per day. There is no limit on bream.

7. Minnows or shiners are not allowed as bait.

8. Fishing is not allowed in restricted areas as indicated by signs.

9. All persons must park in the main parking lot. No parking along access road or the shore of the lake is permitted. Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owner's expense.

10. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed. Persons are encouraged to dispose of trash in litter barrels.

11. Fishing rules and regulations will be enforced by the State Game and Fish Commission personnel and Georgia Museum of Agriculture and Historic Village. Persons in violation of fishing regulations will have admission and fishing privileges revoked and are subject to all other penalties.
