Monday - 11/09/09 - Discussion Questions from Chapter 14 are due. Make sure to answer the three questions at the end of the chapter. Also answer this additional question: In recent years, have fewer people been graduating with and/or studying for computer science degrees? Provide some numeric data/percentages of rates of increase or decrease. You must provide a source for where you found your answer.
Wednesday - 11/04/09 - Class review of outlines from Chapter 5.
Monday - 11/02/09 - Outline due for Chapter 5, Sex, Booze, and Drugs. Based on the issues in the chapter, decide on a single solution to develop into an outline. Your solution can be on any ONE of the three areas discussed in the chapter (either alcohol use & altering the drinking age, legalization of drugs, OR legalization of prostitution. You do not have to provide a solution to each of these problems; just pick one.) Based on your choice of solution, create an outline that discusses HOW your solution would work, the COSTS involved, and the BENEFITS that may result. Think about what we did in class together to help you in completing the assignment. Provide two sources for your outline. Email me with any questions.
