Jeff Newberry has been teaching
literature, creative writing, and composition classes at Abraham
Baldwin Agricultural College since 2002. He is the author of
A Visible Sign (Finishing Line 2008), and his work has
appeared in a variety of print and online journals, including
Anti-, Barn Owl Review, The Cortland Review, The Florida Review,
Memorious, New
South, and Saw Palm: Florida Literature and Art, as
well as in the anthologies Best of the Net 2008 and
Aspects of Robinson: Homage to Weldon Kees (Backwaters
Press 2010). He's
given talks and led panels at the Flannery O'Connor and Other
Georgia Writers Conference, The Conference on Christianity and
Literature, The Florida Literary Arts Coalition's Other Words
Conference, and the Gulf Coast Association of Creative Writing
Teachers Conference. The recipient of a Tennessee Williams
Scholarship from the Sewanee Writers' Conference and twice nominated
for a Pushcart Prize, he is the faculty
advisor for Pegasus, ABAC's literary magazine. He
currently serves as the Vice President of the Gulf Coast Association
of Creative Writing Teachers.
