BASIC FUNCTION

This person is responsible for providing leadership in the areas of personnel supervision;

Curriculum development ;instructional strategies; program services and student activities.

 

 

 

 

NATURE & SCOPE

The program is comprised of two components: an academic year component which includes after-school tutorial assistance and once a month Saturday classroom instruction. The second component is the summer residential

component which consist six weeks of classroom instruction, guidance/counseling intervention, cultural enrichment activities, residential living experience and social and recreational activities. The program Coordination

is involved in every aspect of  the day-to-day program operation.

 

 

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

Ø  1   Personnel  supervision

 

Ø  2   Curriculum development

 

Ø  3    Program planning

 

Ø  4    Participant recruitment

 

Ø  5    Maintaining participants files

 

Ø  6    Documenting program services

 

Ø  7    Overseeing  the tutorial program

 

Ø  8     Monitoring participant behavior

 

Ø  9     Preparing federal and institutional reports

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Responsible for the issuing of stipends to program participants.

 

 

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Supervisory skills, knowledge of curriculum, familiarity with Georgia High School  graduation

Requirements, basic guidance/ counseling skills and basic computer skills.
