Students Resources PROSPECTIVE STUDENTSCertificate of Immunization In order to enroll in classes at ABAC and all other colleges in Georgia, students must prove adequate immunity to several vaccine preventable illnesses. A health care provider must sign the Certificate. The Certificate is part of the admission packet and is on the ABAC Web Site at: http://www.abac.edu/admissions/forms/immunization%20form.pdf Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) Students born before 1957 are exempt from vaccination. Students born in 1957 or after must prove immunity to Measles, Mumps and Rubella by:
Tetanus-Diphtheria A Tetanus-Diphtheria booster within the last 10 years Varicella (Chicken Pox) Students born in 1980 or after must prove immunity to Varicella by:
Hepatitis B Students 18 years old and younger at the time of entering ABAC must prove immunity to Hepatitis B by:
Meningococcal Disease Georgia law requires that students enrolled in college who will be residing in on-campus housing shall provide documentation of vaccination against Meningococcal Disease, or may, if the student is 18 years or older, decline the vaccine after he/she has received and reviewed information regarding Meningococcal Disease and the Meningococcal Disease Vaccine. This information, as required by law, is described in the Handout “Meningococcal Disease: What You Need to Know”.
