Move on When Ready

Move on When Ready provides eligible students the opportunity to enroll full time in college prior to their high school graduation and to take courses which result in both college and high school credit.  High school students who participate in MOWR during their junior and senior years can complete the first two years of college while finishing their last two years of high school.  The tuition and eligible fees for students participating in MOWR are provided through the high school full-time equivalent program count and do not count against the 127 paid hours available through the HOPE scholarship program.

Requirements

  • Minimum SAT score of 1100 (Critical Reading + Math) with a minimum score of 530 on the CR section and minimum 530 on the Math section or
  • Composite ACT score of at least 24 with a minimum 23 on ACT Math and 23 on ACT English
  • High school academic GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • On track to complete high school graduation requirements

Other Requirements:

  • Must enroll in and remain enrolled in 12 college credit hours each semester
  • Must be a legal resident of Georgia
  • Must have attended an accredited Georgia public high school for the two semesters preceding the semester the student becomes a MOWR student
  • Students 16 years of age or older are subject to the ABAC Freshman Residency Requirement
