Larry D. Allen Agricultural Leadership Annual Scholarship

Established by the ABAC Ag Alumni Council Board of Directors in honor of Dr. Larry D. Allen, former Chair of the then-Division of Agriculture and Forest Resources (now the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources), recipients are upperclassmen pursuing an agriculture-related major and are selected upon recommendation from the faculty of the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

Lane Green Wildlife Management Endowed Scholarship

Established to honor Mr. Parker Poe and Mr. Lane Green for their work in conservation and wildlife management, this scholarship is awarded to students who have completed 25+ semester hours and who are enrolled in the Wildlife Technology Program at ABAC.  Recipients must have consistently exhibited academic excellence in all coursework and are selected upon recommendation of the ABAC Wildlife Technology faculty during the spring semester of each academic year.

Lane Green Wildlife Management Annual Scholarship

This scholarship is available for upperclassmen in the Wildlife Technology Program demonstrating academic excellence.  Selections are made by ABAC Wildlife Technology faculty.

L.M. Veazey Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a program of study within the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources and must be rising sophomores with a record of strong academic performance.  Preference is given to students with a major in Family and Consumer Sciences.

Julian Jay and Mary Lewis Thomas Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded upon recommendation of the ABAC Family and Consumer Sciences faculty, with first preference in award being to a FACS major, then to a student with a major within the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources.  Recipients should have strong academic records and a history of leadership during their high school careers, particularly through involvement in FCCLA or 4-H.

John W. Strickland Scholarship

Rising sophomores who have attended ABAC for at least one semester while maintaining an excellent academic record during their coursework at ABAC are eligible for this scholarship.  Involvement in campus activities is also considered.  Students with an agriculture-related major may be given preference – particularly if they have a background of achievement in 4-H.

John P. O’Connor Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to graduates from high schools in Manatee County, Florida, with preference to students with active involvement in 4-H and FFA.

John Henry Dorminy Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to students with majors in forestry, nursing, accounting, or a pre-professional (medicine, law) program of study.  Recipients with academic potential and financial need from Ben Hill County, Georgia will be given first preference, with second preference to students from contiguous Georgia counties, then to Georgia residents at large.
