ABAC Faculty Members Attend ‘Reacting to the Past’ Workshop

TIFTON—The Center for Teaching and Learning at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College recently sponsored six faculty members who attended a teaching workshop at Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus.

Dr. Bonnie Asselin, Dr. Jordan Cofer, David Edens, Dr. Wendy Harrison, Tamatha Lambert, and Dr. Elizabeth Medley attended the workshop titled “Reacting to the Past.” The workshop focused on a technique which offers students an interactive game as a method of learning about a subject area.

“It is exciting that we are bringing these new and innovative teaching methods to ABAC,” Cofer said.

Other colleges and universities with representatives present at the workshop included Georgia College and State University, Albany State University, South Georgia State College, and Georgia Southwestern State University. Earlier in the month Dr. Brian Yost represented ABAC at a similar conference in Athens.
