Pumpkin Patch Opens October 7 at ABAC’s Georgia Museum of Agriculture

September 27, 2017

Visitors can pick out the perfect pumpkin beginning Oct. 7 when the Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College Georgia Museum of Agriculture and Historic Village opens its annual pumpkin patch.

Admission is not required to visit the pumpkin patch and playground area. Located at the Country Store near the entrance to the Museum, the pumpkin patch will be open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Prices for pumpkins start at $5.

While adults are picking out the perfect pumpkins, children can choose their own pumpkin or play on the tire swings, seesaws, the ever-popular corn box, and the swing set. The Georgia Museum of Agriculture has also added a wooden train playground set to its outdoor play area. The pumpkin patch also has several picture-perfect photo spots to create the perfect fall family photos.

Admission to the Georgia Museum of Agriculture and Historic Village on Tuesday through Friday is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors (age 55 and older), and $4 for children ages 5-16. All children four and under are admitted free. Any active or retired military personnel are also admitted free with their military ID. Admission on Saturdays is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, and $5 for children. For more information on the pumpkin patch interested persons can contact the Museum at (229) 391-5205.
