Abbeville Coed Named Finalist in Ms. ABAC Event

Meredith McGlamory, a sophomore agricultural communications and marketing major from Abbeville, was named the first runner-up in the recent Ms. ABAC event at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.

McGlamory is the daughter of Chuck and Celia McGlamory. She was sponsored by ABAC’s Ag Communicators of Tomorrow (ACT) Club.

Shannon Kehoe, a senior agricultural communications major from Myakka City, Fla., was crowned Ms. ABAC 2018.  Other finalists included second runner-up Madison Williams, a senior agricultural communications major from Winder; third runner-up Delaney Foster, a junior crop and soil sciences major from Perry; and fourth runner-up Delanie Israel, a junior diversified agriculture major from Smithville.

Kehoe received the individual award in the interview category.  Cassidy Davis, a junior agribusiness major from Jefferson, received the Ms. Congeniality award; Janna Jernigan, a freshman agriculture major from Alapaha, received the individual award in the essay category; and Jamie Worsley, a freshman history and government major from Arlington, was voted the People’s Choice winner.   

The Agricultural Business Club sponsored the event.  A portion of the proceeds benefitted the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
