Sarasota Area Residents Awarded Scholarships at ABAC

TIFTON—Seth Joiner of Englewood, Fla., Elizabeth King of Myakka City, Fla., and Lacy Meister of Sarasota, Fla., have been awarded scholarships from the ABAC Foundation to attend Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College during the 2013-14 academic year.

Joiner, an agriscience major, received the Melissa Marian Moon scholarship. He is a graduate of Lemon Bay High School. King, a pre-veterinary medicine major, received the Mary P. Jones Scholarship for Agriculture.  She is a graduate of Braden River High School.  Meister, a diversified agriculture major, received the Louise Jensen scholarship and the Marshall Guill scholarship.  She is a graduate of Sarasota High School.

Fall semester classes begin at ABAC on Aug. 14.
