Gwinnett County Residents Awarded Scholarships at ABAC

TIFTON—Samuel Jones of Lawrenceville, Jessica Bowdon, Kelsea Neill, and Brandon Stewart of Loganville, and Lacy Stephens and Brianna Wright of Buford  have been awarded scholarships from the ABAC Foundation to attend Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College during the 2013-14 academic year.

Jones, a business administration major, received the Charles W. Powell, III, scholarship and the John L. Herring scholarship.  He is a graduate of Decatur High School.  Bowden, a biology major, received the Zell & Shirley Miller scholarship.  She is a graduate of Walnut Grove High School.  Neill, an animal sciences major, received the Georgia Cooperative Council scholarship.  She is a graduate of Archer High School.  Stewart, a natural resource management in wildlife major, was awarded the Larry D. Allen Agricultural Leadership Annual scholarship. He is a graduate of Loganville High School.

Stephens, an early childhood education major, received the Eunice Lastinger Mixon Endowed scholarship.  She is a graduate of Hebron Christian Academy.  Wright, an animal sciences major, received the Jim Andrews Family Foundation scholarship.  She is a graduate of Mill Creek High School. 

Fall semester classes begin at ABAC on Aug. 14.
