ABAC Rural Studies Club Volunteers at Tift County Animal Shelter

To wrap up an exciting and productive year, Rural Studies Club members at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College spent a recent afternoon at the Tift County Animal Shelter. Club members who assisted with the care and socialization of adoptable animals included (l-r) Destiny Carter of Forsyth, Melissa Aguiar of Fitzgerald, Elisabeth O’Quinn of Fitzgerald, and Mark Brown of Moultrie. Rural Studies Club members used the visit as a community service project to help raise awareness and provide support for animal welfare initiatives affecting rural communities.
