The Division of Social
Science
The Secondary Education
Program is designed for the student who intends to transfer to a senior college
or university for the bachelor’s degree in secondary education fields. The
student who plans to major in business education, social studies education, or
other secondary teaching areas may plan study for the first two years that will
lead to the Associate Degree. Careful planning of the electives should be made
to meet the requirements of the senior college to
which the student plans to transfer, and the area of specialty in which the
student plans to teach.
A student completing the
secondary education curriculum will receive the Associate of Science degree.
