     Note: CAMP does not endorse any of these web sites; it is your responsibility to read the information they provide very carefully.  Some of these organizations request basic data about you to personalize the scholarship information you receive.  It is your decision to provide the requested information.  Our recommendation is that you NEVER give them your social security number or a credit card number.  They should not need those numbers if the information they provide is free and without commitments.   Also, these web sites might include offers from different companies, but feel free to say NO to them.



 
COLLEGE-LEVEL SCHOLARSHIPS

The Goizueta Foundation Scholars Fund Scholarship

This scholarship is open to Hispanic/Latino students whose parents reside in the United States of America.  Student must have a minimum 2.5 Grade Point Average, a minimum SAT score of 480 verbal and 400 math, and plan to enroll as a full time student.

It is the intention of the Goizueta Foundation Scholars Fund to fully support the cost of an academic year which includes unfunded tuition, fees, books, supplies, housing and meals to the extent available funds allow.

HSF/General Motors Scholarship Program ($2500) – Deadline: June 30

     The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) and General Motors (GM) have partnered to provide financial resources to assist outstanding Latinos pursuing degrees in Engineering and Business. Applicants may be graduating high school seniors or current undergraduates (Freshmen, Sophomore, and Junior). 

The Mobil Delvac Scholarship ($4000) – Deadline: June 30

     The Mobil Delvac Scholarship is available to students who are pursuing a college degree at an accredited U.S. agriculture school. You must submit an essay to be eligible for this award. You may compete in one of two written essay categories or a third photo/graphic-essay category.

 The Adelante/Miller Brewing Company National ($2000-$3000) – Deadline: July 1

     The Adelante/Miller Brewing Company National Scholarship is available to Hispanic students. You must be a full-time student in your junior year (2007) and studying business or liberal arts. You must also have at least a 3.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award. Two letters of recommendation are required with your application.

 

The Elder & Leemaur Publishers Scholarship (up to $10,000) – Deadline: July 1

     The Elder & Leemaur Publishers "Challenge the Experts" Scholarship is available to high school juniors and seniors and undergraduate students. You must submit an essay of 500 words or less addressing one of the topics on the sponsor's site. 

The Get out of Debt Scholarship ($500) – Deadline: July 15

     The Get out of Debt Scholarship is available to undergraduate and graduate students attending a university, college, trade school, technical institute, vocational training or other post secondary education program in the 2005-2006 academic year. You must demonstrate a need for help with your higher education bill due to credit card or other debt and you may not already be receiving or awarded a full-tuition scholarship or waiver from another source.

 The OP Loftbed Scholarship ($500) – Deadline: July 31

     The OP Loftbed Scholarship is open to undergraduate and graduate students who are U.S. citizens and who are attending an accredited college or university in the United States during the 2007 - 2008 school year. This award is based on your responses to a list of questions found on the sponsor's Web site.

 The NASA MUST Program (up to $10,000) – Deadline: August 19

     The NASA Motivating Undergraduates in Science and Technology Scholarship Program is available to rising freshmen, sophomore, junior and transfer students attending or enrolling in accredited U.S. higher education institutions as full-time students. The MUST Program is open to all students and is particularly focused on engaging students from underserved and underrepresented groups to enter science, mathematics, engineering and technology fields. You must be a U.S. citizen and have a minimum 3.0 GPA to be eligible for this award.  The MUST Program includes a one-year partial tuition scholarship of up to one-half of tuition and fees (not to exceed $10,000), guidance and $5,000 to participate in a summer research experience at a NASA facility or other appropriate facility, and a variety of mentorship and other professional and academic support programs.  The General Motors Minority Engineering and Science (MES) Scholarship Program - Deadline: August 24

     The General Motors Minority Engineering and Science (MES) Scholarship Program provides financial awards to outstanding minority students enrolled as full-time sophomores-juniors in an engineering or science program of interest to General Motors. A limited number of scholarships of up to $5,000 are awarded through this program. In addition, summer internships at a General Motors facility may be available to MES scholarship recipients.

     **You don’t need to be an Engineering major.  The AES Engineers Scholarship is available to students who are future leaders. You must demonstrate character, personal merit, commitment, leadership in school, civic and extracurricular activities, academic achievement and motivation to serve and succeed to be eligible for this award. An essay is required.
