When will textbook information be available in the bookstore?

The ABAC Bookstore is working diligently to put together the textbook information for fall semester.  The Bookstore website will have fall options for ordering online beginning Monday, July 29.  Financial Aid will be accepted in the Bookstore beginning Thursday, August 1.

When will I find out who my roommates are and if I’ll be in ABAC Place or Lakeside?

The Housing Office will be sending you an email to your Stallions email address this week that has the following items in it:

  1. Move-in Date
  2. Roommate Assignment
  3. Building Location/Room Number

Is the COMPASS test mandatory for future students who have already taken the SAT/ACT?

Students will be exempt from placement testing (COMPASS Test) if they submit scores as follows:

SAT Critical Reading => 480 Math => 480
ACT  English=> 20    Math => 20

The COMPASS test is the placement test for the University System of Georgia. It is designed to test a student’s knowledge in three key areas of academics: math, reading and English. Based on the results, a student is placed in either college-level courses or Learning Support courses designed to provide the necessary skills for future academic success.

What are the benefits of getting an Associate’s degree at ABAC before transferring?

Besides the pride of an ABAC diploma on your wall, it is always looked upon more favorably to have a completed blocks of classes that earned a degree. Also, in some cases colleges accept more transfer credits as an Associate’s degree than individual classes.
