The Federal Work Study Program provides jobs for undergraduate students with financial need, allowing them to earn money to pay for educational expenses. At ABAC, participants in the Work Study Program are paid $7.25 per hour and are paid every two weeks. Most Work Study positions are located on campus, some off-campus positions may be available. The number of hours a student is allowed to work per week depends on the amount of his or her award. However, the maximum number of hours a student may work per week is 15.
If you are interested in applying for a Work Study position, you must first pick up a “Student Employee Referral Form” completed by the Financial Aid office showing you are eligible for the Work Study Program.

Students should visit the Post Office on campus, located on the bottom floor of the Branch Student Center, to receive a P.O. Box. Once assigned students may receive mail at the following address:

Students have access to their box 24/7, however any item to large to fit must be picked up during regular window hours.
The Library computers are indeed open to everybody. There is no log-in; all one has to do is hit the “Enter” key if it asks for a password and it will automatically log itself in.
To print from the computers, a message will pop up asking for a User ID and Password. You can make up your own ID and password (most students type in their name for the ID and any set of numbers for the password). Then go to the printer you had selected, color on the left or black-and-white on the right, and slide your Gold Card at the reader. After that, look on the touch screen for the ID you entered. Tap your ID, then use the keypad to type in your numerical password. Once it opens up to your print job, just hit “Print.”
You can make a payment on their account using web check (no charge) or credit card (2.67% fee accessed at time of processing). Once payment is made, please call 229-391-4999 to have the funds applied to the students Gold Card as general dollars. The student will then be able to make the purchase in our bookstore, please make sure that the student informs the cashier in the bookstore that they are using general dollars for the purchase. The Stallion is published every two weeks on the ABAC campus and is distributed for free in nearly all the buildings on the ABAC campus. Look for The Stallion’s distribution racks near the doors.
In addition, articles in The Stallion are published online at www.abacstallion.com and you can have them delivered to your phone via The Stallion app. Scan this QR code and download the app. As a bonus, the app also brings Stallion TV stories to your smartphone.
The ABAC Bookstore is working diligently to put together the textbook information for fall semester. The Bookstore website will have fall options for ordering online beginning Monday, July 29. Financial Aid will be accepted in the Bookstore beginning Thursday, August 1.

Students will be exempt from placement testing (COMPASS Test) if they submit scores as follows:
|SAT||Critical Reading => 480||Math => 480|
|ACT||English=> 20||Math => 20|
The COMPASS test is the placement test for the University System of Georgia. It is designed to test a student’s knowledge in three key areas of academics: math, reading and English. Based on the results, a student is placed in either college-level courses or Learning Support courses designed to provide the necessary skills for future academic success.
