2011 Purchase Award Program

One of the reasons Love Affair has lasted so long and done so well is because of its unique Purchase Award Program.

This program is vitally important for two reasons:

First, you go home with fine original art for your home or office. Second, more artists come to the festival because they have been promised that people like you WILL buy art during the festival. That means you get better choices and everyone gets to experience excellent art and fine crafts.

We know you will want to be part of this important Love Affair tradition and invite you to participate in the Purchase Award Program for 2011. 

Here’s how it works:

  • You agree to purchase art in an amount that suits your budget ($100 and above).
  • You come or your representative comes to the Love Affair on Saturday or Sunday and choose(s) art to purchase. (paintings, drawings, sculpture, jewelry, crafts, et al).  Choose from the Gallery Tent or from the many artists booths in the Fine Artists Market. Choose one piece or several to meet (or exceed) your financial commitment.
  • When you have made your selection(s), pick up a Purchase Award ribbon at the Gallery Tent, take it to the artist of your choice, pay the artist, and then report the amount of the sale and the name of the artist to the Gallery managers.
  • Take your art home, or to your office, and enjoy it for years to come.

Deadline: Friday, April 22
This timing is important because we can then guarantee to potential artists a total amount pledged by the community for the purchase of art.
