General Information

In its 29th year, The Love Affair Fine Art Festival held in Tifton, GA is a celebration of performing and visual arts. As a part of the festival, an Arts Market called Art in the Park is slated for May 2 –May 3 in Fulwood Park, located in the heart of the town. Last year, over 25,000 festival attendees enjoyed shopping the quality art booths, watching an array of excellent performances and socializing among the tall Georgia pines. Each year people fall in love with the arts all over again at the finest arts festival in South Georgia.

Cash awards and purchase awards totaled over $13,000 last year. Purchase award givers consistently have exceeded their pledged amount, many times by doubling or tripling their dollar expenditures.

The Love Affair strives to present the best possible art work through careful selection by outside jurors; and to present the best possible food vendors through careful judication. Additionally, top-notch entertainment is booked for all the festival stages representing a wide range of interests drawing large crowds daily.

Volunteers assist artists with unloading and booth set up. A continental breakfast is provided to the artists on Saturday morning. An organized group of volunteers provide artists with relief services for breaks throughout the day. Area hotels provide discounts to participating vendors.

A staff of skilled professionals in association with a committed festival board plans and executes the Love Affair. Every effort is made to produce a quality arts event.

The people of Tifton and the surrounding counties enthusiastically support the Love Affair. Civic groups, community organizations, Chamber of Commerce plus city and county governments are involved in the festival.

The Love Affair is promoted throughout the state of Georgia and North Florida. A mixture of media including television advertising is used to attract knowledgeable art buyers as well as the novice.
