Georgia Museum of Agriculture and Historic Village at ABAC
The Georgia Heritage Festival is a celebration of traditional arts and traditional living. Located on the grounds of the Georgia Museum of Agriculture and the Historic Village at ABAC, this inaugural year includes many firsts including the opening of a special exhibit from the collection of Georgia’s largest private art collector, Mr. C. L. Morehead. The exhibit showcases the works of Fitzgerald traditional artist Randy Anthony.
Also, the first concert of the Georgia Singer/Songwriter Series, the only statewide performing arts series, will feature the music of Diane Durrett.
The museum’s extensive exhibits and historic village will be in full operation, with costumed interpreters representing life in late 19th century rural Georgia. The festival focuses on the traditional arts including many performing artists, basket makers, soap makers, furniture makers, wood turners, canners, knife makers and fiber artists.
