INTRO TO METAL AND WOOD TECHNOLOGY

 COURSE DESCRIPTION:

 The purpose of this course is to provide basic understanding of metal work, metal properties, material selection, and safety principals.

 

TEXTBOOK: Welding Technology

 * This book is not required, but you will be responsible for knowing certain material it covers.

 

GRADES:

             2 Tests                         40%

            Lab Test                       30%

            Lab Participation          10%

            Final                             20%

 

GENERAL POLICY:

 You are expected to attend all class meetings.  No smoking or chewing will be allowed in class.  Make-up tests will only be given for a prior approved absence or a doctor’s note.  Disruptive behavior will not be permitted.

 

GRADING SCALE:

             A – 90+

            B – 89-80

            C – 79-70

            D – 69-60

            F – 59 and below
