Natural Resource Management

Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Natural Resource Management

 

The baccalaureate degree in Natural Resource Management will educate students in the management of forest resources in the Southeast and in the management of forest-based businesses. Graduates of this program will be prepared for work in government and private sector organizations that deal with the region’s natural resources.

Curriculum:

Students interested in the Natural Resource Management degree will take required core curriculum classes (42 credit hours), 39 credit hours from the technology-related courses currently offered in the appropriate AAS program (Forest Technology or Wildlife Technology), and 39 credit hours of upper division work.  A total of 120 semester hours is required for completion of the degree.

Required and/or elective courses:

Core Curriculum: Areas A, B, C, D (Non-Science Majors*), and E.
AREA F: Major Courses – 78 hours

  1. 39 credit hours from the technology-related courses of an appropriate AAS (Forest Technology or Wildlife Technology) will be applied toward the completion of the Major requirement.
  2. 39 credit hours of required 3000 and 4000 level courses.
