Educational Program
The career-technology program includes general education courses, and courses related to a particular major and an internship experience.
The Family and Consumer Science Career-Technology student must decide as soon as possible which of the four options to pursue.  Many courses are offered every other year.   Consultation with the student advisor is recommended.
Class size for these courses is relatively small which enables professors to give students individual attention.
All freshman and transfer students entering the Family and Consumer Science Program are enrolled in FCS 100, Career Exploration, in order to develop an understanding of the professional opportunities in the field.

Students are strongly encouraged to join the Family and Consumer Science Club which allows the students to interact with professionals in Family and Consumer Science.

A detailed listing of the courses required for these majors can be found in the ABAC catalog.
