There is a list of
advisor(s) for each program offered in the Division. Current students should run a
degree evaluation
(CAPP) prior to meeting with their advisor.
There are 3 types of degree programs offered in
the Division:
Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.)
These are Career-Technological programs of study that are designed to
provide students with the necessary skills to enter employment upon
graduating from ABAC. The entire degree
program can be completed at ABAC. Technology courses required for graduation
are not always transferable to other universities.
Associate of Science (A.S.) This is also known as the Transfer
degree program . It has more difficult entry requirements. The courses
taken constitute the first 2 years of a Bachelor degree. The final two
years are usually completed through another university, such as UGA or Fort Valley State. All of the universities within Georgia are required to
accept all of the courses within the core curriculum offered at ABAC.
Bachelor Applied Science (B.A.S.) This program of study is designed primarily to provide an additional 2
years of study to students that
hold an A.A.S. degree. Students who are nearing completion of the AAS, or with an A.S. degree are also welcome to apply.
