David Glickman Nursing 2

The event will feature healthcare and humorist speaker David Glickman.  Glickman has been presenting programs to healthcare professionals for over twenty years. He began his career as Director of Public Relations for the American Heart Association of Greater Miami, Fla. He made media appearances and spoke to audiences on the risks of heart disease and stroke.

After several years he left the American Heart Association to become a fulltime speaker and entertainer. He has presented over 2000 programs since that time, specializing in finding humor in the hectic healthcare environment.

In addition to his programs for healthcare groups, Glickman is also the Chief Writer for ‘Funnier Speeches’, America’s only writing service that specializes in ‘punching up’ speeches with humor.

Before moving full-time into healthcare humor, he also performed comedy for mainstream audiences. He was selected as the winner of the Entenmann’s National “Funniest Person In America” Contest from over 500 contestants and Steve Martin personally selected him from over 100 comics for an appearance on a CBS comedy program.

He has also appeared on “Evening At The Improv” and has been featured in Rolling Stone magazine and scores of other publications. Glickman has been the opening act for stars such as The Beach Boys, Ellen DeGeneres, and Ray Romano, and even performed for Gloria Estefan.  Glickman resides in Tampa, Fla. with his wife and two sons.
