Dr. Giles has been teaching college writing and literature classes since 1991 and has been at ABAC since 1997. She writes fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and scholarship, and has had work published in Wilderness House Literary Review, The Southeast Review, Writing Spaces, The AWP Pedagogy Papers, On Writing: A Process Reader, Feeling Our Way: a Writing Teacher’s Sourcebook, and Pegasus. She has presented at the Association of Writers and Writing Programs Conference (AWP), the Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC), as well as other writing and teaching conferences. She also serves as a Teacher-Consultant for the Blackwater Writing Project, a unit of the National Writing Project out of Valdosta State University.
