How do I….

Get a library account?   Check out books and other items with your ABAC Gold Card.  Your Gold Card is your library card.  To access your account online, you first need to get your GIL PIN. Go to http://gilfind.abac.edu/MyResearch/Home Fill in the Inst. ID (918#) and your last name, then click “Get My PIN.” Your PIN will be sent to your ABAC e-mail account.

Check my library account?  Simply click here and log in to our GIL My Account.

Obtain the GALILEO password?  You’ll find the latest password in your GIL library My Account once you log in look at My Profile.

Make a GIL Express Request?  In the GIL Universal Catalog, once you find the item you would like to request you’ll see a link to request it in the Holdings tab.  Log in there and you will be able to have the item sent to ABAC.  You can see the item’s status in your My Library account.  It will receive notification in your My Accoutn when the item has arrived.  You will also receive an email from the Baldwin Library.   You may pick your request item up at the Carlton Center/Baldwin Library service desk.

Request an Interlibrary Loan (ILL)?  You’ll find the form here.  Be sure your contact information is up to date.  We will email you with any questions or when your item arrives.

Computers, Printing & Photocopying?  The Baldwin Library has 24 PCs located on the main floor, 24 PCs on the top floor and 14 MACs in the MAC Lab (room 202, in the library lobby).  The PCs print in black & white and color.  Swipe your Gold Card or log into the printer using the first part of your ABAC email address (before @) and your Centrify password.  The MAC Lab prints in both black & white and color.  Photocopying also requires you to swipe your Gold Card or log in with your ABAC email address (before @) and your Centrify password.

Group Study Rooms?  The Baldwin Library has nine group study rooms located on the 3rd floor.  Group study room use is first-come, first-served.  Group study rooms are not reserved.

Reserve Materials?  Reserve items are normally placed in the library by teaching faculty.  They may include textbooks, sample quizzes, models, etc.  They are checked out at the 2nd floor service desk.  Reserve items are “in-library” use only.
