Tutoring at the Academic Achievement Center
AAC Spring 2017 Tutoring Hours
The AAC is open during the below hours. Our tutoring occurs during most of those hours, but not always. Please check the tutoring schedules to see availability. Tutoring begins on Janaury 17th, as does the late evening hours in the AAC.
Mondays-Thursdays 8:00am- 12:00 midnight (tutoring 9am-8pm)
Fridays 8:00 am- 3:00 pm (tutoring 9am-1pm)
Tutors can help with most courses taught at ABAC. Courses tutored are posted at the front desk with the names of the tutors who can tutor those subjects.
Student who met certain academic qualifications may apply to become a tutor. GPA and faculty recommendations are required to be an AAC tutor. Tutors receive several hours of training each semester. Tutors who complete the required hours of training receive CRLA (College Reading and Learning Association) certification.
ABAC faculty are in the Center during the week. Hours are posted at the front bulletin board.
Tutors for most subjects are available for drop-in tutoring. No appointment is necessary.
**The AAC’s first priority is to be sure ABAC students have tutoring available. Some tutors and faculty do offer outside private tutoring, but this is done on an individual basis. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with inquiries.
