Tutoring at the Academic Achievement Center

Tutors are available:
9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday – Thursday
9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Friday

Extended AAC Hours During Finals  - Tutoring

Wednesday, April 30th- night before finals start- AAC open until 2:00 am

Thursday, May 1st- first day of finals- open until 2 am

Friday, May 2nd- normal hours- close at 3pm

Saturday, May 3rd- not open

Sunday, May 4th- open 2:00pm-2:00am

Monday, May 5th- open until 2am

Tuesday, May 6th- normal hours- close at 5:30 pm


Tutors can help with most courses taught at ABAC. Courses tutored are posted at the front desk with the names of the tutors who can tutor those subjects.

Student who met certain academic qualifications may apply to become a tutor. GPA and faculty recommendations are required to be an AAC tutor. Tutors receive several hours of training each semester. Tutors who complete the required hours of training receive CRLA (College Reading and Learning Association) certification.

ABAC faculty are in the Center during the week. Hours are posted at the front bulletin board.

Tutors for Math & Writing are available for drop-in tutoring. No appointment is necessary. If you do not see the subject you are in need of, please contact us and we will attempt to find a tutor for that subject.
