Scenario 1: E-Pack

1. Add your admin id as a course designer to CISM 2201. Also add to course designers any of the faculty who you want to be able to edit the template before assigning it to the sections. Don't add anyone who you only want to modify at the section level. See #6 in the step-by-step directions for instructions on how to enroll a designer.

2. I would "move" the template since it looks like it is at the ABAC institution learning context instead of copying it. the "move " icon is right next to the copy icon to the far right of the template name. Click on the "template Manager" tab and locate the template you want to move. Click the "move" icon and in the window, navigate to the CISM 2201 course and click the save button. When the editor and ownership screen, select whoever you added as a course designer who would be in charge of this template and the template owner and add the rest as allowed editors. Click save. Be patient as this may take up to 1 ½ hours to complete.

3. Once the template has completed the move, go back to the "Learning Context Manager" tab. Navigate to the CISM course and click the "templates" tab. Now click the "Associate Template" button and select the correct CISM 2201 template.

4. If you have finished editing the template, you are now ready to "Assign" the template to your sections. Click on each section name and click the "Templates tab. click the assign template button and select the correct template for the section. Save and be patient again as this will take a while depending on how large the ePack is.

Log in using your admin id and add the faculty and yourself to the course (not section) as designers. Then go to your template manager and navigate to the course. You should see an "Import template" button.
Click that and then upload and select the epack from your file manager.
You will see several screens including one to rename the template. I recommend that you do making sure you put the instructors name and a timestamp in the name. You will also come to a screen that allows you to add editors. You will want to add the instructor. Otherwise they will have problems editing any of the files if you add them later.
