Release Message to Instructor

Note: Messages from students to faculty using MailShield must be released by the student.

MailShield's TMDA feature stops "junk" messages from reaching Outlook, Eudora, Off-Campus WebMail, etc.

  1. MailShield maintains a "safe" list of sender addresses.
Messages from addresses listed in the "safe" list will go directly to the faculty member's mailbox in Eudora/Outlook.
  2. Messages from addresses not listed in the "safe" list will be on "hold" in MailShield for 7 days or until the sender replies to the message shown below (see Step #4).
  3. After 7 days, MailShield will delete the messages on "hold" automatically.
  4. If/When you receive the message listed below from your instructor, please reply to the message from your instructor.
  5. You will receive a confirmation message stating that your original message has been delivered (see bottom message below).
