PC-to-Projector-to-VCR/Elmo

 

1.      Ensure the power is on for the PC

2.      Power on the projector by pointing the remote control at the projector or screen – press On

3.      The remote control will have either a separate button for each source or one button that rotates through the input sources.

a.       For PC: set the Input to Input1 or Data1 or Computer1 or RGB1,

b.      For VCR or Document Camera (Doc Cam): set the Input to Input3 or Video1

                      i.        VCR: If a Doc Cam is present, select AV1 on the Doc Cam (second of three sources available).

                     ii.        Doc Cam: Select Internal on the Doc Cam (first of three sources available).

 

Notes: A remote control is located at the instructor station in/on the computer desk, table, or cabinet. In most labs and classrooms, the instructor station has been moved closer to the wall to prevent cables across the floor.

 

The remote control has an ON/OFF button to control the power for the projector.

The remote control can be pointed at the projector or screen to control the projector.

The remote control must be pointed at the black mouse sensor to control the PC.

 

On the bottom front of the remote control is a slide for Mouse vs. Adj (Projector).

Mouse:

Change the bottom slide control to "Mouse" (i.e., slide to left side).

Only with the black circular mouse infrared sensor, the remote control will serve as the computer’s mouse.

Left/right/up/down mouse movement is controlled via the circle in the middle area of the remote control.

The right mouse button is labeled on the front middle area of the remote control.

The left mouse button is labeled on the back top area of the remote control.

Black screen is labeled on the front middle area of the remote control.

Laser (pointer/beam) is labeled on the front middle of the remote control.

 

Note: To prevent students/audience from viewing the PC activity, use Black Screen.

 

Adj (Adjust the Projector):

Change the bottom slide control to “Adj” (i.e., slide to right side).

The remote control will control the menu and lens (e.g., zoom, focus, etc.) of the projector.

 

PC or Laptop vs. VCR

The remote control will have either a separate button for each source or one button that rotates through the input sources: Input1 (PC/Laptop -- Data1, Computer1, or RGB1), Input2 (not used -- Data2, Computer2, or RGB2), Input 3 (VCR or Document Camera – Video 1), or Input 4 (not used – Video 2)
