Hotmail: Attach a File to a Message

McAfee VirusScan automatically scans all files attached to incoming and outgoing messages. If a file contains a virus, it cannot be attached to a message. If a file contains a virus that McAfee VirusScan cannot fix, you cannot open or send the file. Some e-mail programs, such as Microsoft Outlook, will block certain types of attached files to help protect against viruses. You will be notified if you attach a file that others may not be able to open.
  1. Go to the Mail tab/page
  2. Click New
  3. Click Attach, and then click File on the menu
  4. Click Browse to locate the file you want to attach.
  5. On the toolbar, click OK to return to your message, or click OK and Attach Another to attach another file.
