ABAC Home Page Won't Load in Browser

 

1.  Change Internet Explorer Cache Settings

2. Reset Home Page to ABAC

3. Change ABAC Bookmark

4. Flush and Register

 

1. Change Internet Explorer Cache Settings
     For Netscape Users to Change Cache Settings

  1. Tools [menu]

  2.  Internet Options [pull-down]

  3. General [tab]

  4.  Settings [button]

  5. Every Visit to the Page [radio button]

  6. OK [button]

  7. Delete Files [button]

  8. OK [button]

  9. OK [button]

 

2. Set Home Page to ABAC

  1. Open Internet Explorer

  2. Address: http://www.abac.edu

  3. Tools,
  4. Internet Options,
  5. General [tab]
  6. Homepage Address:
  7. Use Blank [button]
  8. Apply [button]
  9. Homepage Address:
  10. http://www.abac.edu
  11. Apply [button]
  12. OK [button]

3. Change ABAC Bookmark
If you use a bookmark/favorites to access ABAC home page, please complete the steps below.

  1. Favorites,
  2. Organize Favorites
  3. Select the ABAC bookmark
  4. Delete [button]
  5. Yes [button] response to "Are you sure...?"
  6. Close [button]
  7. Home [icon ] to load http://www.abac.edu if you set home page to ABAC.

 

4. Flush and Register

 http://10.19.1.15/oits/fix.bat -- Select Open [button] when prompted.
This script executes the necessary steps below (automatically for you) to correct the problem.

  1. Start

  2. Run

  3. cmd

  4. OK

  5. At the dos prompt, type the following

  6. ipconfig  /flushdns [press enter]

  7. ipconfig /registerdns [press enter]

  8. exit [press enter]

Note: The bold commands above are NOT case sensitive -- i.e., upper, lower, mixed case works.
