Transfer files to a server using FTP
- Install WS-FTP if you do not have FTP
already installed.
- Start [button]
- Programs [menu]
- WS_FTP [menu option]
- WS-FTP95 LE [submenu]
- Enter a "Profile Name" (e.g., ABAC Web Server) [text entry box]
- Enter a "Host Name/Address" (e.g.,
www.abac.edu) [text entry box]
- Select "Automatic detect" as Host Type [pull-down]
- Enter your "Userid" (e.g., apwillis) [text entry box]
- Enter your "Password" (e.g., ?????) [text entry box]
- OK [button]
- Image below should be similar to what you see.
- Left side displays your local PC and drives
- Right side displays the server to which you are connected
- Navigate on the left side to the drive/folder that contains the data you
want to send to the server
- You can use the Up [green arrow] and/or ChgDir [button]
- Navigate on the right side to the location/folder on the server that you
want your data to be sent
- You can use the Up [green arrow] and/or ChgDir [button] and/or MkDir
[button]
- To send folder/files to your local PC, select the folder/files on the
right, press the Left [arrow]
- To send folder/files to the server, select the folder/files on the the
left, press the Right [arrow]
- When file transfer is completed, you can Close [button] to log out.
