Suber Award Winners - best junior and senior division projects in the field of entomology (plaques given to each)

       Junior Division Suber Award Winner

    - Elizabeth Stone, Ben Hill Middle School, Category - Zoology, “Crickets & Light”

 

American Chemical Society Award - best chemistry project in the fair ($100.00 savings bond to student and teacher  receives a years subscription to the Journal of Chemical Education)

                             

                  - Lizzie Kornegay, Thomas County Middle School, “Oh, My Aching Head! Phase II’, Teacher - Ruth K. Brown

 

Harry R. Gross Memorial Award - senior division winner, name on traveling plaque to be kept at the recipients school for the next year, $100 cash award to be presented to recipient at the school honor program in the spring.

 

        - Haley Danielle Canady, Thomas County Central High School, Category - Physics, “Just Flippin       Around”

 

                  - 141 students participated in the Fair from 4 counties (Lowndes, Ben Hill, Thomas and Turner)

 

                  - Georgia Science and Engineering Fair (State Competition) - UGA, April 5-8, 2006

From ABAC Regional SEF - 29 students qualified for State Competition with four additional students as alternates.
