Procedure for Requesting Student Health Center Accommodations
Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College’s Student Health Center offers a wide range of medical services to ABAC students taking six or more semester hours. Of particular interest to students diagnosed with a disability is the temporary loan of auxiliary equipment. For example, loaner equipment such as crutches and wheelchairs are available through the Center under a process that is in place to ensure its return.
Students with temporary or permanent disability may be interested in applying for a handicap parking permit. Instructions for this process are located at http://www.abac.edu/healthcenter/faq.cfm.
To learn more about ABAC’s Student Health Center see http://www.abac.edu/healthcenter. In addition, for patient instructions on how to safely operate a wheelchair see the next section on “How to Safely Operate a Wheel Chair”.
ABAC’s Student Health Center is located next to the Chapel. The Health Center entrance is at the rear of the building. After Fall Semester, 2006 the Student Health Center will be located in the new Nursing and Health Sciences Building located on the front circle drive of the College. The Coordinator of ABAC’s Student Health Center is Troy Spicer, MS, APRN-BC. Please call 229-391-5030 or email Mr. Spicer at tspicer@abac.edu with questions.
