June 26 …      Depart Tifton and motorcoach to Atlanta for a morning flight  across the country and to the     "City by the Bay," San Francisco for a two-night stay.  We begin to discover this amazing city with a       fascinating sightseeing tour that highlights the city's most popular landmarks.  See the stunning Twin Peaks,      the Golden Gate Bridge, Chinatown and Fisherman's Wharf.  Dinner this evening is located on Pier 39, San Francisco's #1 attraction.  From here you'll experience postcard views of the Golden Gate and Bay bridges, Alcatraz and the San Francisco Bay.  D

 

June 27 …      Today we cruise Route 1, the most breath-taking, most photographed stretch of highway

along the California coast.  Enjoy famous Cannery Row (the setting of many Steinbeck stories) and the seals and

sea lions along Monterey Bay.   Lunch break at the Hog’s Breath (past Mayor Clint Eastwood’s favorite restaurant) before continuing down the winding 17-Mile Drive in the privately owned Del Monte Forest.

See Pebble Beach with its world famous golf course as well as Seal Rock and the majestic Cypress Point.

Return to San Francisco for the night.  B

 

Text Box:  June 28       Depart San Francisco this morning as we trek over the legendary Golden Gate

 Bridge on our way to Napa Valley to see the vineyards and enjoy the history and a taste during

a winery tour.  We reload the coach and make our way along the “Avenue of the Giants,” a scenic highway loaded with towering redwoods.  We continue through redwood country and venture

 into the Redwood National Park, where the trees are so tall, the sun seldom hits the ground.  On

to Eureka for the night.   A special dinner this evening at the Samoa Cookhouse, the last surviving lumberjack camp style cookhouse in the West, has been serving family-style meals since 1893.   B D

 

Text Box:  June 29       We continue up the coast into

Oregon for a visit to Jot’s Resort in Gold Beach

along the Rogue River.  We begin with a cruise up

the spectacular Rogue River taking you into Oregon's rugged wilderness for a chance to see bald eagles, cormorants, seals and blue heron.  Fisherman hold

up giant salmon and dinner is included at a fishing lodge.  Back at Jot’s, don’t forget to purchase

canned or smoked salmon, which is a real treat.  We overnight at the Resort.  B D

 

June 30       Today we head to Coos Bay to visit a local factory for an inside look at how the area's craftspeople make amazing objects out

of dense myrtle wood.  Next, everyone is invited on a dune buggy ride through Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area.  This thrilling ride will

take you over one hundred foot sand dunes and offers an up-close view of this very unique terrain.  Next see Oregon’s amazing coastline of

crashing waves upon the rugged rocky beach.  The day ends with a scenic journey across the striking Coastal Mountain range and takes you

 through the Willamette Valley to Portland for a two-night stay in North America’s “Best Big City.”    B

 

Text Box:  July 1         Visit the Rose Gardens of the city this morning before a drive along Lewis and Clark Highway to the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. It's a day of sightseeing you will never forget.  See

the spectacular Columbia River Gorge where a constant wind speed of 60 mph is ever present and many waterfalls can be seen from the coach along the way.   See the salmon ladders at Bonneville Dam and

enjoy lunch overlooking the River Gorge.   An afternoon stop at the Pendleton Wool Factory Outlet on

the return route to Portland.  Your tour director will provide a shuttle to Gastown, to enjoy the collection of restaurants and shops located in the historic district of the city.  B L

July 2          The tour heads north today past Mount St. Helens toward Paradise Lodge located

at the base of Mt. Rainier.  Lunch is included and time to enjoy an awesome view of the mountain’s hanging glaciers from inside the lobby of Paradise Lodge.   This afternoon we ascend the foothills of Mount Rainier.   At 14,411 feet, Mt. Rainier has \

long been an icon of the Pacific Northwest.  Your driver / guide will explain the history of the Coastal Mountain Range and also make a stop to explore

the national park’s visitor center.  The route includes many picturesque views all the way across the mountain.  We continue north for the night in Seattle.  Dinner is included as we enjoy the Farewell Celebration with our friends from the tour.  B L D

 

July 3          Today a morning flight will take you home with many pleasant memories of your vacation in the rugged Pacific Northwest and

the Coast of California.    B

How to Confirm Reservations:  Reservations will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.  It is important that reservations and deposits be made at the earliest possible date to ensure availability of a particular tour.  Payments are to be mailed to the address above, credit card call-in, or drop off payments at the Public Service and Business Outreach office at ABAC. 

 

CANCELLATION POLICY AND TRAVEL INSURANCE:   Due to the stringent cancellation policy pertaining to this trip involving flights and a train reservations, Kelly Tours has included cancellation insurance in your package. Luggage Handling:  Luggage service on overnight tours is limited to one large bag per person.  You may also bring a small carry-on for which you are responsible.  Remember not to over pack.  Airlines will charge for luggage weighing over 50 pounds.  Airlines will charge a baggage fee for every checked luggage (not included).
