Thacker will compete for Ms. ABAC 2009 on Nov. 11
KINGSLAND STUDENT TO COMPETE IN MS. ABAC NOVEMBER 11
TIFTON—Chasidy Thacker of Kingsland will
compete for the title of Ms. ABAC at the 40th annual Ms. ABAC contest on Nov. 11
at
Thacker is a history major sponsored by the Georgia Association of Educators Student Program (SPAGE).
The event is sponsored by the Student Government Association. It begins at 7 p.m. in ABAC’s Howard Auditorium. Admission is $4 in advance and $5 at the door. Because of limited seating, the purchase of advance tickets is encouraged. These tickets can be purchased on the first floor of Gressette Gym in the Health, Physical Education, and Recreation division office.
Contestants are sponsored by campus groups, including clubs, athletic teams, and student media. Participants will compete in casual and evening wear. They will also be judged on a written essay and an interview with the judges.
ABAC Director of Public Relations Mike Chason will serve as master of ceremonies. Andrea Willis, chair of the Division of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation, directs the event. Ashley Brown, Ms. ABAC 2008, will crown the winner.
