ABAC Student Receives Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of Georgia Scholarship

TIFTON—Colton Farrow, a freshman Animal Science major at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, has been selected for a full tuition scholarship from the Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of Georgia.

Executive Director Fred B. Kitchens said the scholarship will cover all tuition fees for Farrow at ABAC for one year.  It is one of 15 scholarships awarded by the organization to college students in Georgia this year.

“We have awarded 1,001 scholarships since our very first one in 1965,” Kitchens said.  “We awarded a total of $47,600 in scholarships this year.”

Also attending the scholarship presentation on behalf of the Wine and Spirits Wholesalers were Brad Bush from Georgia Crown Distributing Co., and Paul Thomas from United Distributors, Inc.

Earlier this year, Farrow was named one of three recipients of the first ever ABAC Presidential Scholarships by ABAC President David Bridges.  Farrow currently serves as the state president of Georgia FFA.  He is the son of Mike and Robbie Farrow from Pitts.
