ABAC Newspaper
TIFTON—The student
newspaper at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College,”The
Stallion,” has been awarded second place in the two-year college division for
best newspaper by the Southern Regional Press Institute.
In the individual categories, News Editors Crissie Elrick of Pembroke and
Taylor Hand of Tifton shared a first place win for Best Feature Story, while Elrick also took second place in the category.
The newspaper's faculty adviser, Eric Cash, was selected by
the organization to receive this year's Wilton C. Scott Award for Excellence in
Scholastic Journalism for his service to the ABAC publication and his active
membership with the group.
Earlier this year, “The Stallion” was named the top newspaper
among two-year colleges in the state by the Georgia College Press Association.
